The Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) consists of the 5 members of Council plus 2 appointed public members from the MD of Pincher Creek.

The MD of Pincher Creek No. 9 Land Use By-law consists of three uses - Permitted, Discretionary and Prohibited. The purpose of MPC is to hear all the discretionary Development Permit Applications and to render their decision based on the requirements set forth within the Land Use By-Law.  

The MPC meets the first Tuesday of every month.
